5. Cookies

The Site uses "cookies" for day-to-day and proper operation, including for the purpose of collecting usage statistics and data validation, in order to tailor your browsing experience to your personal preferences and information security needs.

Cookies are text files generated by your browser at the behest of the computer hosting the company's Web site. Some cookies expire when you close your browser while others will be stored on your computer's hard drive. For instance, if you use the Windows operating system and Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, you can find them in the c:/windows/cookies directory. Also, cookies eliminate the need to have to enter your information every time you revisit sections or different pages on sites that require registration. Encrypted and corporate Sites take precautions so that only computers within the company are allowed to read this information.

You have the option of preventing the creation of cookies by reconfiguring the settings on your browser. To do this, consult your browser's help file. However, keep in mind that disabling cookies may prevent you from using some services and applications on web sites. In addition, you should be able to have cookies removed from your computer at any time. We recommend that you do this only when you are convinced that you do not want websites to adjust to your preferences.

As cookies sometimes prevent you from entering usernames and passwords, do not delete them unless you are certain you have first saved all the information you need to use the websites in a safe place.

Furthermore, the Site uses web beacons - ("Network Equations") for its regular and proper operation, including gathering statistics about Site usage, verifying details, and customising the Site according to your personal preferences and information security needs.

Equations are tiny graphical files with a unique identifier embedded in web pages, designed to collect information about your browsing and use of the site. The information collected does not identify you and is intended to track browsing patterns on the site and track user preferences for various content and services. Please be advised that you can remove web beacons by erasing your browser history (similar to deleting cookies).

6. Third Party Services

Some services on the Site, such as services related to Facebook or Google, are actually operated by parties other than the Foundation. In these cases, services are provided or activated not only through the Foundation's computers, but also through other such entities.

7. Third-party advertisements.

Some advertisements are actually activated from the computers of advertising companies and/or by those acting on their behalf. We would like to inform you that in order to manage advertising, these companies place cookies on your computer and embed web beacons in advertisements or Site pages. The information collected does not identify you, but is intended to match the advertisements presented to you with topics of interest to you. These companies' use of cookies and web beacons is regulated by their privacy policies, and not by this Company Sites policy.

You can get information, manage and/or disable these cookies on your desktop and mobile browsers by using one of the following links:

Google allows the Site to receive some of this information which it does not personally identify, as stated, for the purpose of analysing user behaviour. 8. Gathering information for statistical purposes

The Site is assisted by various companies that provide statistical analysis of Site usage. The companies collect and analyse information that is statistical in nature and is intended for analytical, research and monitoring purposes.

9. Data Security

The Foundation warrants that its systems and sites operate with an adequate level of information security. It is important to understand that information security, while reducing the risks of unauthorised entry into the Foundation's computers and sites, does not under any circumstances provide absolute immunity from such entry.

10. The right to view information

Pursuant to Section 13 of the Privacy Act 5741-1981, every person has the right to view the information stored in the database himself or herself or through his or her authorised representative in writing or through his or her legal guardian.
